A little bit about me.
I am a Certified Women’s Health Nurse practitioner with 28 years of experience in the field of nursing. My RN background includes emergency medicine, post anesthesia care, and forensic nursing caring for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. This led me to graduate school and a career as a nurse practitioner in women’s health. From 2007-2012 I cared for women in the field of general obstetrics and gynecology, moving on to gynecologic oncology from 2012 to present, and am still currently in practice. I hold a Certificate of Authority and Certificate to Prescribe in the state of Ohio.
You may be wondering what prompted me to make the leap into the field of medical aesthetics. Throughout my career I continually strove to improve myself and my skills, often re-inventing myself and my practice along the way. In my first GYN NP role, I worked with a physician who provided aesthetic services such as Botox, sclerotherapy, IPL hair removal and facial rejuvenation, and was integral to providing those services.
Most recently in my beloved practice of gynecologic oncology, I find fulfillment in relationships I develop with our patients and their families, the ability to help patients achieve their goals regarding best quality of life, and the highly complex nature of their medical care.
These qualities of practice translate well to medical aesthetics. I can get to know my patients, help them to achieve realistic goals, and can practice in a medium that is a blend of technical precision and artistry. As a nurse practitioner, I believe health is a combination of mind, body, and spirit, and that this applies to all aspects of medical practice. I have been trained through the Cleveland Clinic as a reiki practitioner and have used reiki in my practice ever since. I continue this in my medical aesthetics practice, as well.
Personally, I was born and bred on the East side of Cleveland. I attended Brush High School, Ursuline College for my Bachelor’s degree in nursing, and Kent State University for my Master’s/ Nurse Practitioner degree. I attended Medical Aesthetics training at the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and am currently a practicing member. I am married to a college professor, have 2 children of my own, 4 stepchildren, and we have 2 dogs and a cat. I am so lucky to have this big, beautiful blended family.
Thank you for considering my practice, I look forward to getting to know you and helping you achieve your aesthetic goals!
